So here is my first blog. Craziness. In all the best ways. For some reason when I signed up for the World Race I expected God to just tell me what to write in my blogs or that I would suddenly have this creative flow. In reality I have back spaced more times I can count.
But here it is. One thing to know about me is I am a huge fan of beginnings. I believe infinite start overs, because I believe in Jesus. There is a reason why it is called the New Testament, he is the face of beginnings.There a reason why I am sinned yet saved every day.
This is the start of my story. While right now I may be sitting in Allen Texas praying for more of him.I will be going to three different countries in nine months, doing anything from manual labor to rehabilitating sex slavery workers. I can’t be more excited to be placed at the feet of him with an incredible group of people. As I embark to Thailand, Ethiopia, and Guatemala I go into what seems like the unknown, which is crazy because to him this is just the next step for me.
James 2:18 “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” I take this verse with me as a promise. When I fear that it is too much I realize that all I am doing is the next part of the plan that is set out for me.
Prayers, hugs, and good conversation are all welcome as I go through this season of life.
