Hello!
The past few weeks we have been hard at work here in Thailand! This month my team was placed with Team Yes and the twelve of us are helping at Wildflower Home!
Wildflower takes in women in crisis or single moms and helps them get back on their feet. There is a daycare for their kids and they work to teach the women practical skills to help them live out the beautiful lives the Lord has planned for them.
The women have a big, beautiful farm and that is where we help them! We shovel dirt, hoe the fields, pull weeds, or do just about anything else to help them. We get to work alongside the women and encourage them everyday and it’s such a special opportunity to love them well. They all come from such different places and all have stories that we are slowly getting to learn.
While a lot of the women have come from really hard places, they carry so much joy. They welcome us with big smiles everyday and joyfully work with us all day. They love to laugh and joke and watch us try all the crazy snacks they buy us!
It has been an exhausting few weeks but the Lord is on the move in that place and it’s an honor to get to be a part of it. The women are slowly opening their hearts and allowing room for us to speak life into them. We are seeing mountains of dirt moved almost daily and while we are the ones with the shovels, it is evident there is someone bigger than us at work.
