Hi everyone! I just wanted to share how the Lord has been working on my heart the last few weeks.

As I have been looking into the countries I will be going to on the race, my heart has been breaking. The statistics of orphans in Swaziland due to HIV/AIDS, the amount of women stuck in human trafficking in Thailand, the number of unreached people.

A close friend from another country whom we’ve known for years, asking for something as simple as a pair of shoes. A family of five who we love dearly, living in a one bedroom apartment.

These are all things that have just become facts of life and if you’re not looking, you probably wouldn’t notice.

But the thing is, I noticed. And it is WRECKING my heart. I keep seeing more and more needs, some I can meet and some I can’t and it is so hard.

In Luke 8, Jesus is in a crowd when a woman who had been bleeding for years touched Him and was healed. The thing that I love about this story, is that Jesus noticed. He knew the woman touched his cloak, He felt it. He could have healed anyone and walked away but Jesus had a heart for people and He noticed. Time and time again in the bible, Jesus notices people and that is the beginning of incredible things.

As I am in my final months before the race, Jesus break my heart for what breaks yours. I want to notice, I want to truly see what’s going on around me. I know I physically cannot fix every problem I see but I can notice them and that’s where it starts. I can love people and I can pray for them because I know a God who can fix anything.
