Hey all, this will be more of a brief update. I am heading out to training camp on Tuesday and running around like a mad man trying to get everything packed and ready.
There are many things that I am learning on this journey, one of the main things is not expecting that I will get everything right (i.e. perfectionism) but to simply give my best and make the most of the lessons that come from my mistakes. I am finding that when I have tried to avoid mistakes at all costs I have missed many good learning opportunities because perfectionism causes one to always try to improve the short term at the sacrifice of the long term.
In light of that, I know that there are some things that I am probably not getting right in preparing for training camp (I am a bit of a last minute packer); but since my goal is no longer to get everything perfect in the short term I am free to ask the Lord to direct me in what is His best for me in light of eternity.
Please be praying for me, I need to be at training camp in Gainesville, Georgia between 4 and 5 tomorrow afternoon (the 16th) and I will finish up on the morning of the 26th of this month. Then I will head strait to Tampa for Revive Florida and I am not sure yet how long I will be there. (For those of you who are not familiar with Time to Revive, they are an interdenominational street evangelism and discipleship organization that I travel with as a volunteer which is working to bring all believers together, regardless of church background, to fulfill the great commission.)
Well, I have got to go. Thank you so much for reading these blogs and being a part of my journey. I love you all!
