I think sometimes I just forget that I’m a daughter of God, and I’m worth more than rubies. I’m learning what it looks like to be a fool for Christ; to go so extreme, and far out for Him. I will be protected.

WELL! Month 5, Vietnam. This is going to be the first half of Vietnam, because so much goodness came out of this past month.

We are finishing up month 5, going onto month 6, Cambodia. I don’t want to leave Vietnam. This is the first time on the race I’ve had hard goodbyes, the first time I didn’t want to leave a country, and the first time I fell in love, wanting to come back to Da Nang. When i was entering this country in the beginning of the month, I felt like the Lord had something amazing for me here. I had such a great feeling about Vietnam. I was so excited! All the feels I haven’t felt before coming to this country. The Lord was faithful to deliver, as always.

This month has had us on our toes, and that is why this is my first blog since being fully funded. Being on a team of 7 girls has not been as hard as I thought it would. We all have differently personalities, of course, but we balance each other out very well! I feel so loved, so seen, and so appreciated by them. They love like the Father loves. It takes 7 to tango! Doing life with these 7 girls for this past month has also been challenging. I can’t walk away when it gets tough, or uncomfortable, and that’s like marriage. We have talked through hard conversations already, and have gotten laugh, and cry together. We all have fallen in love with this country, and it’s special that we get to share these memories together from years to come.

I never thought I would make friendships with the people of these 12 countries when I signed up for the race. This month I have made a lot of new Facebook friends, but specifically 2 very special friends I hope to see again one day.

I asked the Lord for a hard goodbye before coming to this beautiful country, and that’s exactly what I got. This month was a sweet kiss from the Lord.

I’m half way there, and it’s just the beginning.

More details to come on what we did this past month!
