This song, that I would like you to listen to before continuing, came out rarely recently. I listened to it once and was kind of distracted, and listened to it again, and my eyes were like BAAM! “This song is for this season!”
Driven by Love, By Lindy Conant and the circuit riders! (Can’t fund it on YouTube, but it’s on Spotify and iTunes!)
The Great Commission- “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold I am with you ALWAYS to the end of the age.”
It’s the last week my team (The Americanos) and I are in Santa Rosa de Copan! I still can’t believe our first month is almost done. Our ministry this month was volunteering with Legacy of Hope Foundation. This foundation helps provide a safe place/environment to children who have been through trauma, and whose family is not in a place to care for them. I have learned so much from our host family about caring for kids with trauma. My specific job here is split up from the other 5. From 7-11:30 I get to clean the transition house. I do more at this home then I do in my own home! (Don’t worry ma, that’ll change when I get home) I sweep, mop, do the dishes, and clean the bathrooms. After that I get to play with the kids until they go to lunch! The first 2 weeks I did this with my teammate Alivya, but this week I’m without her, in a way. Her and Joanna are filling in for the caretaker this week! So, both of them are in the home with me as I’m cleaning. It’s a nice feeling having them with me still. We get to talk more than we usually do, and be more intentional with each other. After lunch, I’m off until 2, and then I go to the Centro, where I get to hold Zoe (Zo-a)! She is a 1 month old Honduran baby! She is just precious! For privacy reasons I can’t show her face.
Since being here, the Lord has been answering a lot of prayers. One of them being that I would get more opportunities to do art! I’ve loved art since I was a little girl, and I haven’t had a lot of opportunities since high school to do so. Life gets busy, and I don’t do it as much as I would like to. It takes weeks to get inspiration or motivation to start something new. So, my teammates have been cleaning out the new team home, and we all were giving the privilege to draw something on their chalkboard walls. We all had a hand in it, which makes it that more special. I get in the zone when I’m creating something. This month has giving me opportunities to use chalk, paint, and sketch more in my journal, with no motivation needed. It just comes naturally now whenever I have the equipment to do so! I love my God. He knows how to make me happy. He knows where I thrive.

Bienvenidos (Welcome)
Onto the next adventure- Nicaragua! We will be there at the en of next week. I’m also sooooo close to being fully funded. I’m exactly $1,901 short of $18,200! That blows my mind. The Lord is so faithful. If you feel lead to give, please do so! Where the Lord guides, He provides!
