Well, I leave home tomorrow morning, and I am only 3 days away from Launch, and 7 days away from flying to Honduras! Goodbyes are starting to happen, and I keep reminding myself that it’s only a “See you later!” What a journey it has been from saying YES to this next chapter of my life, to going back home to NJ, to training camp in Georgia, and now I’m about to Launch.

I am only $3,088 away from being fully funded. C’MON JESUS!!!!!

My feelings currently are: I am terrified; overwhelmed by this opportunity. I’m more used to goodbyes than hello’s. I’ve finally settled down back in my home state, and I’ve found my place at my church. Relationships have formed with my church family, that I never thought would. I didn’t expect leaving to be easy, but I also didn’t think it would be this hard.

Do you ever find yourself alone with God, just crying your heart out and you sometimes don’t know why that much liquid is coming out of your eyes! That’s what happens when I’m completely honest with my God. When I was sharing with Him all that I’m feeling right now, His truths were thrown at me.

1) I am terrified- “I am always a breath away”

Isaiah 49:10 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,      for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

2) I’m finally comfortable- “Comfortability is the thief of change”

John 15:16 “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”

3) I feel overwhelmed- “I equip those who are chosen, not the opposite”

2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient         for  you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the         more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

4) I’m not qualified- “Believe in your heart that this is what I spoke to you”

1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

You may catch yourself believing lies, and noticing that they’re lies, like i did the other night. But, there’s a difference with knowing they’re lies, and believing in your heart that they’re lies. You can’t just put the enemy in his place one time, because there will be multiple times he will try to attack. When you start declaring that YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD, YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN, YOU ARE WHO GOD SAYS YOU ARE, YOU ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE, the enemy will be defeated. And it also resonates a feeling of peace and joy. Remember that our God is bigger that any trouble, adversity, situation, in your life. He’s got it. He’s already won the war.

I’m reminded of the song, Take Courage by Lindy Conant. The bridge of the song says,

“There’s a yes, in our hearts, and it carries through eternity,

Simple obedience, it changes history.”

I challenge you, today, to start declaring truths over your life instead of the negatives you might be saying. It’s never too late to change who you are, and what you believe. Take it, run with it, share it with others.

Thank you to everyone who is following me so far, and feel free to forward to this to someone who you might think needs some encouragement! I love you guys, and I appreciate your support, your prayers, and your donations!
