Two simple words that have left an imprint on my heart through this past season, and upcoming season, Stay Strong. It’s not something that comes over night, but is released over time. The Lord has been strengthening my faith in this fundraising season, as well as giving me hope.
Prior to making this decision to come to World Race, my season wasn’t the most prettiest one. Like my pastor would say, I’m in the “basket season” right now. My faith has been tested, I have been stretched to great lengths. Romans 8:18 says, that the pain I am enduring right now, will not compare to the joy that’s coming. That verse is what has kept me stable. Nothing I face here will ever compare to the pain Jesus went through for us. The $18,200 is so small in the eyes of God. He’s taught me to dream big. And on the other side of my obedience is breakthrough, but not just in my life, but the lives around me as well.
When God told me to be strong, to stay strong, I thought of the song Take Courage by Bethel. Specifically the chorus:
“Take courage my heart, Stay steadfast my soul, He’s in the waiting, He’s in the waiting, Hold onto your hope, As your triumph unfolds, He’s never failing…”
Most of us would love results and answers to come like a microwave, but our God is like a crockpot! “Stay steadfast my soul, He’s in the waiting” Stay strong in the season of not being noticed, stay strong in the season of not knowing, stay strong in the 9 hour work shifts 7 days a week, stay strong in the uncomfortableness, because He is in the waiting! Praise Him in your highs, and praise Him more in your lows.
I have learned this past month to glorify His name higher in the icky situations. It brings me peace and more joy towards my Heavenly Father.
Thank you to all who have been supporting my decision so far, and walking with me through this journey! May God Bless you throughout the remainder of this week! I love you all!
