MEET MY TEAM!
Meet the team that will see me through the highs and lows of 2019!
It’s only Month 1 and God is already moving, rearranging, adding and tearing down perspectives, values, desires and truths that I have held onto for so long. It’s a weirdly uncomfortable feeling knowing everything you’ve worked so hard to BE fall away and be replaced with everything God wants for YOU.
Something God is showing me this month is GROWTH on the Race and IN LIFE is not mandatory but OPTIONAL. This is a hard pill for me to swallow. I somehow believed the lie that with age and time life will get better, I will get wiser, life will get easier…this is NOT TRUE. In life we will be presented with opportunities we can take or let slip away. This same truth applies to people. People are placed in our life for a reason… that reason is not always apparent but you have to press into relationships and find the deep treasure behind every soul you encounter.
With that said, this is me pressing into the team that God selected for me. I have been praying for this group of wonderful ladies since I found out I was accepted to the World Race. I prayed that whomever my team was that they’d be women after God’s own heart—and God delivered! Meet Maci, Em, Shondra, Laurie, Shelby and Nikki they are beautiful souls and LORD brought us together from all across the U.S. to grow and do life together:)
Meet Maci:
God brought Maci into my life to teach me it’s okay to be transparent and vulnerable. Maci is the most authentic person you will ever meet—she speaks what’s in her heart all the time and strangely enough it’s a hard quality to come by nowadays.
Meet Em:
God brought Em into my life to show me what it means to truly look out for the interests of others. She exemplifies this! She is the kind of person that makes you FEEL wanted and goes out of her way to make sure your voice is heard. We should all carry this quality and I am glad to have her in my life.
Meet Shondra:
God brought Shondra into my life to show me I should always BE READY! When this girl speaks her words bring LIFE. She has a supernatural ability to express her feelings and LOVE to others. Her voice is powerful and I have witnessed her use it to lift others higher!
Meet Laurie:
God brought Laurie into my life to show me what a TRUE leader looks like. John Quincy Adams said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” This is what Laurie does she inspires others to BE BETTER not by anything she might say but by her actions!
Meet Shelby:
God brought Shelby into my life to remind me what joy looks like. This girl wears her heart on her sleeve and floods every room she enters with her bright spirit. When I see Shelby I see what living out a life of worship can look like.
Meet Nikki:
God brought Nikki into my life to teach me to love and accept ALL aspects of myself. This is not always easy but Nikki makes it look easy. Nikki shares her battle scars with grace. She shows you that there is beauty in every experience you might have gone through and that you are VALUED by God. When she shares her testimony—YOU HAVE HOPE! You have hope that God will turn around your life just as HE did for her.
There is something magical about speaking truth into people we know and empowering them to be their best selves. Ephesians 4:29 NLT says, “Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.”
If there is someone in your life that you can pour a little encouragement into–DO IT! Take 3 minutes now and send them a quick text, facebook message them or even email them if you have the time. You never know if this is something they needed to hear.
