I’m borrowing his idea from a squadmate,
But today is the 11th day of the 11th month. I am in month 11 of my race, and we have only 11 days left until it is officially over and I am back on USA soil. That’s a lot of 11’s!
In order to commemorate, remember, and process the past 11 months and 11 counties we’ve now been, I am going to summarize and post about one country each day over the next 11 days.

In January, we started the race as an all-Squad month in Medellín, Colombia. Here, we got to minister with Ciudad de Refugio to give out agua panela, pray for the drug addicts, VBS with children, teach English, intercessory prayer, and much more.
One thing that…
- Made me feel alive: when flying a small child around the room when he begged for “avión!”
- Was difficult this month: communicating with the squad without data/WiFi, especially after my phone was stolen.
- Broke my heart: when I looked over the edge of the terrace, late into the evening, and saw a man digging through the trash for food or things worth only a few pesos.
- Has been revealed about my calling: God has given me compassion for the poor and hungry.
- I am thankful for: my wonderful parents back home who made all the calls with the insurance and got another phone sent to me.

I am thankful for the friends I made, ministry we had, and memories I now hold. To all those I met in Colombia, I pray the Lord blesses you with joy unending for the calling He has set before you, and blessings over the ministry and all the people it will touch!

“Tú creaste mis entrañas;
me formaste en el vientre de mi madre.
¡Te alabo porque soy una creación admirable!
¡Tus obras son maravillosas,
y esto lo sé muy bien!”
~ Salmos 139:13-14
“For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.”
~ Psalm 139:13-14
