Hey friends! It’s been a busy summer for me, but also pretty productive! God has blessed me with several jobs over the summer, I was cast in a musical (with opening night in just a few days), and I’ve started a lot of fundraisers for my trip! …which is the reason for this blog.
So, without further ado, here are some of the fundraisers that I currently have going…
1. “Adopt a Jar”
I have made 11 jars (one per country) that restaurants, businesses, or individuals can “adopt” to fill with their spare change. Once the jars fill up, I can collect them or let them continually fill over the next several months. I am SOO GRATEFUL for those who already took a jar! Every little bit can help! Currently, these are the businesses in my hometown that have allowed me to leave a jar for change…

2. For the next fundraiser, I’m selling T-SHIRTS!
Yes, I know… it’s a common fundraiser (and yeah, you may be like me and have too many T-shirts already)… BUT these aren’t like just any T-shirts you can find at your favorite clothing store, these shirts GLOW-IN-THE-DARK! The design is based on the verse John 1:5, the light shines in the darkness! Plus, they are specially designed by the one…the only…my dad! Only $15 for sizes S-XL and $16 for 2XL and 3XL (plus cost of shipping if I can’t get it to you in person).
3. In addition to the T-shirts, I have matching glow-in-the-dark wrist bands for $5 each! 
4. I’m also selling some homemade lavender soap bars! Not only are the pretty, but they smell delicious! These were made with Shea Butter, Olive Oil, and Lavender Essential Oil. I’m selling these for $7 per bar.
5. Last but not least is “Pick-A-Number”…
This is a board with numbers 1-160. You choose the number, whichever number you choose, that’s the amount you commit to donate. However, to sweeten it up a bit and make it more exciting, I have been given about 20-25 donations as prizes to randomize under the numbers. So, for example, you may choose card $85 and then you could win a $10 gift certificate to Primo (Italian restaurant)!
The cool thing about this fundraiser is, if all of the numbers are adopted, I would raise $12,880 on this fundraiser alone!!
A couple of the prizes are pictured with the board above, but here are just some of the randomized prizes you could win:
($1-$40) = “I wanna glow” wristband, free drink at Café Royal, homemade lavender soap, candy.
($41-$80) = Free personal pizza at Pizza Hut, free drink at Café Royal, free appetizer at Applebee’s, “I wanna glow” T-shirt, “I wanna glow” wristband.
($81-$120) = $10 gift cards to Primo, Free drink at Café Royal, “I wanna glow” T-shirt, “I wanna glow” wristband.
($121-$160) = Buffalo Wild Wings sauce baskets, purple wristwatch, “I wanna glow” T-shirt, hand painted earrings from Honduras, free babysitting (from yours truly).
