Hi everyone! Wow, I just spent 10 days in Gainesville Georgia at World Race Training Camp.
I’m not going to lie, I was super nervous about fitting all of my items into a travel bag, living out of a tent, only using port a potties, and taking cold bucket showers.
My tent!
The stinky port a potties!
Bucket Shower!
While those were a part of training camp, it was so much more. God blew my mind with his goodness and presence. Although, I did find out that with a few screams I could conquer those cold bucket showers! Hallelujah!
Training Camp focused on pouring into each racer spiritually and God was moving deeply on my heart. I was amazed at how quickly He got to work speaking to me. I came to camp struggling with self worth. God revealed to me that I had been placing my worth in being liked by my peers, body image, and how much I can contribute to a team.
I was forced to face all of these head on when I was dropped into a camp with a few hundred strangers who I suddenly felt the need to impress and win their affection.
I was forced to ask myself if God’s approval was enough for me. During this time, God extended an invitation to see how sees me. It was stretching and I am still processing this invitation but I know that it’s going to be amazing!
Overall, I was super impressed with Adventures in Missions and I am so confident that the World Race is what I am supposed to do! I can’t wait to launch in August!!!!
I look forward to introducing my leaders, squad, and team to you in a future blog!
