last week I got an email from Liberty about a special scholarship opportunity I had been chosen for. All I had to do was write 200-400 words about how Liberty can impact your life. And if you know me you know I LOVE MY SCHOOL! So this was pretty easy and I though hmm maybe my supporters would like to hear what I’m doing next and more heart behind it. So I’m posting my response to this bad boy! Enjoy 🙂 also if you are a college age student, have a child who is nearing college age, or know literally anyone in this age group i need everyone to come to liberty University aka the best school on planet earth! Hehe
April 5, 2018. The day I chose to leave my dream school, Liberty University, to follow where God was calling me. Choosing to take a gap year, leave the place that had become my home, and serve around the world for nine months was not an easy decision to make. Looking back on my first year at Liberty, I was painfully aware of all I would be giving up. Liberty was my home, my place! It still is, which is why I have the upmost joy and excitement about returning this fall. I cannot say enough good things about LU and the way it has impacted my life. I have learned countless invaluable lessons that I will carry with me throughout the rest of my life. I have met many incredible people who have helped shape me into the person I am today. From professors, hall leadership, counselors and advisors, convo speakers, and everyone in between. I am grateful that Liberty is a community that encourages and uplifts one another always aiming to glorify God. Of course I can’t forget to mention the top tier education this school provides through highly educated and qualified professors who fight for their students to succeed and give their students the push they need, while equipping and empowering each one to be champions for Christ. I have had some amazing professors who have poured into me and impacted me more than they will ever know. No matter the field of study, trust me, I’ve tried a few in my year at LU, students can expect all that they learn to be taught through a biblical worldview and see how all things point directly back to our Creator. Also as a student at Liberty I have gained critical thinking skills as nearly all my professors have pushed for students to think critically about everything. What I have gained from being a Liberty Flame is much bigger than the Pythagorean Theorem or Pavlov’s theory of classical conditioning. There are no words adequate to express all I have gained from my year at LU or the deep love and pride I have in this University. This school is my home and I look forward to our sweet reunion! I know Liberty will continue to grow me as a woman of God, equip me academically for the future, and open so many doors I never imagined possible.
