March 20, 2018: I called my dad and he told me a story that shook me to my core. It was the kind of story that you can’t make up, but it’s also almost impossible to believe.

He said that earlier that morning, he met a man on a job site with a really thick accent.

My dad asked where the man was from and the man said that he was from Romania.

My dad began to tell him that he went to Romania on a mission trip in 1989 and the man stopped in his tracks and grabbed my dads arm.

The man said that on March 15, 1989, he was at a crusade in this stadium full of of people and a teenage boy with blonde hair and glasses handed him a Bible and it was that day that the man became a Christian.

That blonde haired teenager was most likely my dad.

30 something years later and thanks to Jesus, they got to reconnect and my dad got to see another thing Jesus did through that trip.

Insane right?

Everything we do for The kingdom of God is worth it.

Every breath, every word, every step that is for Jesus will one day be worth it… even if you don’t see it at the moment.

A lot of people on my squad (including me)… actually, many people in this world struggle because we don’t see the fruit of our labor.

Sometimes we don’t understand why we are digging up roots for ministry or why that person said no when we asked to pray for them. It can get very discouraging.

But every single thing we do for the glory of God is good and goes unnoticed and even if it takes 30 years for us to see it, it is worth it.

So I have advice for the world:

Talk to that person in line at the grocery store.

Roll down the window and give a big smile to the person in the car next to you at the red light.

Dig up every root that someone asks you to.

Keep asking to pray for people, no matter how many “no’s” you get.

Because 30 years later… that person that said “no” to you, may be coming to you and saying thank you for changing their life.
