Okay, go back to high school… Do you remember those mile runs? When you were out of breath and hardly running anymore? But you still managed to finish the last lap… How about that feeling when the coach blew the whistle on you? Best feeling ever huh? Well, that feeling is what is currently running through my body. From the day I signed up for this journey I began the race and fundraising is hard but God is always faithful. He always provides and I have faith that before my next deadline in April I will be fully funded!
I hope everyone had an amazing New Years! Were you part of the millions who took the time to jot down their goals and ideas for 2019? Many people see this time as a fresh start and if that’s you then no more excuses, no more quitting, no more waiting. Go at it with full force and if you fail don’t wait until next year to restart. The moment is TODAY and you GOT THIS! Jesus is on our side!
Wednesday was my last day at work where I planted my last 6 years. I have learned and grown so much from all of my co-workers. They have all shown me support and love during this season of transition and I am grateful for them.
On Thursday I said my goodbyes from my friends. I have some of the most amazing ones on the planet! My family prepared a special dinner and the night was full of tears, prayers, and hugs.
Friday morning my family dropped me off at the airport and gosh that was probably the hardest thing I have ever done. I love them so much and I know that this year away from them will be difficult but it will be rewarding! This is probably only 3% of my family and they mean the world to me!!
Today, I am currently in San Francisco with a couple hours away from launch! I KNOW!!! Time slipped out of my hands and soon I will be walking life with 18 other amazing humans who have also decided to leave their comfort zone to be the hands and feet of Jesus! God is currently teaching me to LET GO of the things that get between Him and I. My goal is to grow deeper in His love to give that to those I encounter this year. I want people to see, feel and know Jesus through my life.
