“God always provides and equips where He calls.”
I’ve heard this phrase so many times but I didn’t know how very, very true it is until I started stepping out into situations where I needed that provision to even take my next step. God has been so faithful in the past few years of my life. He called me to some pretty amazing but hard things and provided for every single one!
Father, you are a good, good Father and you love to give your children good gifts. I’m thankful for the life you’ve called me to live and how you’ve provided. I’m thankful for so many things the past few years.
“Always rejoice, constantly pray, in everything give thanks. For this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.“
“…be filled with the Spirit…always giving thanks to God the Father for everything; for each other in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ,“
• I’m thankful for $18,600 raised in 33 days for WR round 1!
• I’m thankful for $1000 of my own money being stolen from my account in Colombia. From there I had to radically trust God with my finances and humbly live off of others’ hard earned money.
• I’m thankful that I forgot to bring my chap stick on my second trip. And that I received a tiny tube of lip balm from the plane that somehow kept producing lip balm THE ENTIRE 5 MONTHS!
• I’m thankful for $4,000 of my student loans prophetically being forgiven (completely and mysteriously erased from my account) and for the other $26,000 that’s on the way to fully fulfill the prophetic dream!
• I’m thankful for $5000 raised for alumni leading. And how He answered my prayers for my faith to be stretched as He led me not to write a support letter or ask people for any money.
• I’m thankful for the $4500 that I needed to walk on a plane and be here in Mijas, Spain for a 9 month leadership program. I’m thankful that He gave me the portion of faith I needed to patiently wait on Him to provide the money…even if it was literally less than 24 hours before I needed to get on the plane!!
• I’m thankful that I haven’t worked a “real job” with income for almost 2 years.
• I’m thankful for how God is using the Corona virus for the good of His church. I’m thankful that I’m quarantined (connecting) here with 13 amazing people.
The list of things I’m thankful for could go on and on with big, small or seemingly insignificant things that God has showered upon me as I’ve obeyed His prompting to go! I want to encourage and challenge you during this time, today-right now-what is God prompting you to do? Where is He prompting you to go? Who is He prompting you to speak to or forgive and open your heart back up to again? With what areas is He asking you to trust Him and give up control in? Trust and obey! I promise it’s a better life that way! Additionally, I challenge you to find things to be thankful for every day during your quarantine and speak them out to the people around you. The Lord is doing something new in his church during this time of connection and intimacy. Don’t miss what He’s doing! Don’t miss His moving!
Lord, show us what you’re up to! Show us what ways you’re making in the desert of the Corona virus. Show us what seas you’re splitting. Give us only our daily bread that we might learn to trust you every single day with your provision from heaven. And thank you for eyes that are fixed on the provider, not the provision! You are the creator of every good and perfect gift and you love to shower them on us. We empty ourselves of our expectations, pride, self-seeking, self-protecting flesh and we thank you for the Spirit of Love, Power, Courage, Generosity, Wisdom, Revelation, and Humility who lives in us and works in and through all of our weaknesses and shortcomings. Use us ordinary people in extraordinary ways for your Kingdom and so that they might know your love! Amen!!
