I have some exciting news to share with you all! Adventures in Missions has given my team and I am amazing opportunity! Back in August we had a route switch from Haiti and the Dominican Republic to Vietnam and Indonesia. As an organization, they have never sent a team from Vietnam to China. They wanted to know if anyone from L squad would be interested in pioneering this journey across the Vietnam-China border. My team accepted that challenge!
We just got our Chinese visas today and are about to board a train to China! While we’re there we’ll be following the Lord’s leading. But since it’s a closed country and they monitor communication, we have to be wise about how we go about it. If you would like to communicate with me while I’m in China please be aware of the following:
• If you contact me, censor your words. For example, Je$u$, G0d, m!ss!0n, etc.
• Facebook (and possibly WhatsApp) is illegal and the government has found a way to block it from being used in their country.
• Email would be the preferred way of communicating.
• Blogging will hopefully be allowed, but I’m not sure at this point. I will try to keep you updated. At the least, my blog will be password protected.
My team and I are very excited about this opportunity and would appreciate your prayers! We want to follow the Lord’s leading and be bold but wise about how we can be best used by Him this month. You can also pray that the border crossing goes smoothly and that we are able to have the way for future teams.
