Growing up in a family of 7 made life interesting to say the least. There was bitter and sweet, laughing and crying, arguing and peace, happy and sad, mourning and celebrating, striving and relaxing. But at the end of the day we knew, thanks to my parents efforts, that nothing we did could change the fact that we were family. Whether you liked it or not and no matter what you did, your family was always going to be family.

I’d like to introduce to you some amazing people. They are my family; my Chilean family and my World Race family. First, here’s my family from Chile that I said goodbye to about a week ago. They are the Andres’ and they taught me what it means to be a family in the great country of Chile!

Mario: Papa; the chief! On the first night Mario introduced himself by saying, “This is my family. I am the chief” *ponding his chest.* What a great and fitting introduction! He leads and loves his family well giving of himself for their benefit.

Dorca: Mama; the jefe! After Mario said he was the chief, he promptly gave another great and fitting introduction to his wife, “Dorca is the jefe.”

Marito: Hermano! Marito is a fun-loving kid who is 10 years old and loves rubix cubes and video games. He’s an introvert and seems to think a lot for a kid his age.

I will never forget my Chilean family and I hope to see them again soon. They made a big impact on the first month of this journey, and I pray they will be blessed for their hospitality.

And this is my family for the next 11 months; my team. And I can’t wait to learn to do life and ministry together!

Brandon Minner:
Brandon is very intelligent and loves to study the Word and solve rubix cubes. He can be quiet sometimes, but that usually means he’s about to say something you’re going to want to listen to. On top of that, he has a very consistent, calming era about him. Even when things get stressful, he can keep a cool head.

Catie Collins:
Catie Collins Smith (Cici). She’s one in a million! I can’t say that I’ve met anyone like her. She’s full of energy, random and hilarious things that catch you off guard (in a good way), and a hunger for more of the Word.

Matthew Kane:
Matt is our alumni team leader. And he’s a great one at that! He’s super awkward (which he owns, and I appreciate – being a former homeschooler), doesn’t shy away from tough conversations (which has taken our team deep pretty quickly), loves science, and has a depth of knowledge about the Word. Also, he loves sarcasm and joking around but still knows when to be serious.

Morgan Feldt:
Morgan loves being true to herself. She’s definitely extroverted and can make connections quickly with just about anyone. Her energy level is contagious and can change the mood of a room instantly.

Paige Mueller:
Paige is very selfless and will always puts others needs above her own. She’s a great listener and values other’s opinions. She was just chosen as our raised up team leader and is already doing some great things in that position.

Rachel Cavender:
Team mom! Rachel has so many maternal instincts. She can sense what you’re feeling and feels it herself. Along with that she’s very caring and loves to serve.

These are some amazing people! And I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has to offer. I would encourage you to pray for these people and follow their journey as well.
