1 year ago, I woke up in Romania on day one of my world race. That’s CRAZY to think about. I can remember it like it was just yesterday- sprinting through the Amsterdam airport to make our connecting flight into Bucharest. Arriving at our final destination only to realize that our bags didn’t make it on to our connecting flight. Settling into the mission house that would become home for the next 3 months. Waking up in awe & wonder in a country thousands of miles away from home. & with all that to say, the ways that the Lord was about to refine me & the things that He was going to bring me through were completely incomprehensible.

During this season of team leading in Georgia, the Lord has reminded me how intentional His timing is of bringing us through seasons. Without my season on the world race, my season at home, & my season in Colorado this summer, I wouldn’t be equipped to be right here in this moment. Every mountain, every valley, & every season that God has brought me through has been for the purpose of this very moment. Without Him bringing me through discovering my identity in Him, who I am as His bride, choosing Him in a dry season, & choosing community when it’s hard, I wouldn’t be walking through this sweet season of hunger & desiring more of Him. Dang, that really is crazy.

Thank you, Father, that every season of life is so purposeful. Thank you that we can look back on those seasons & see testimonies of your goodness & your glory. Thank you that we are always moving from one glory to another. & thank you for what you’re leading us into in this season right now.

To Gap X- some of my sweetest memories are with you all. I will always be reminded of songs we danced to, smells of our favorite places, things we laughed about, & victories that we celebrated. May this season right now be one of MORE. The growth didn’t stop in Ecuador. My heart eagerly awaits for the day that I get to hug you all again.

With love,

Nikki
