this blog isn’t about anything in particular other than what’s on my heart today.
i’m just really in awe of the Father’s kindness. a synonym for kindness is warmth & i think that’s the perfect way to describe the way my heart feels right now. in psalm 118 it says that THIS is that day that the Lord has made & to rejoice/take delight/be glad in it. that’s what i’ve been trying to practice these last few weeks here in Guatemala, the place where my heart is. the Lord freely gives us so much goodness in each & every day (read that again) & it’s up to us to take Him up on it. lately i’ve really been struggling thinking about leaving this place so soon, but God really convicted my heart in taking Him up on the goodness that He has for me in THIS day. so i’m just gonna tell y’all a little about my day, thanks to His goodness.
-gel & i went to my hosts church in Parramos that usually has spanish services, but today they had a guest speaker from miami so it was in english!
-spontaneously invited our friends Noe & Chris to a coffee shop with us in Antigua (shout out to The River & the best chai ever)
-spontaneously picked up Emily along the way
-ran into some other friends & the new short term team that’s staying at the base with us
-laughed A LOT with Jacob, Aderkee, & Chris
-had really good conversation with Cali, she told me that being future minded isn’t always bad…she told me i’m actually a dreamer & just have to practice dreaming WITH God
-listened to Roberto & Chris play instruments & sing &&& i sang with them a little bit
-had rrrreeaaallly good tacos & a q3 ice cream cone
