W E L C O M E
To Training Camp!
11 (really hot & humid) days spent soaking in His presence, learning from amazing leadership, getting to know one another, eating fun foods, and a whole lot more!! I hope these photos taken by my squad mates help you all get a little peek into what we got to experience these past two weeks!
The Road Trip
Instead of flying down directly to Georgia like a normal human, I flew to Dallas & then got to take a lil’ (does 12 hours count as lil’??) roadie with my squad mates Anna & Emi! We got to stay in Memphis for a night with Anna’s friend & then the next night we stayed in Georgia with Emi’s aunt the night before camp. The next day we got to meet up with our squad mate Nathan a little early & then we all went to camp together later that afternoon.
Meeting X Squad
When we arrived at camp, we all got to meet our squad mates, aka our new family, for the first time! It was so excited & we all greeted each other with giant bear hugs!
M O M E N T S
Throughout camp we did a few different team building activities, ate a lot of different foods, participated in a fitness hike, won squad wars, and got to listen to a bunch of good sermons! We also had time to just hang out and bond with each other!
S Q U A D W A R S
Before we got to camp, all 6 squads took part in activities like posting an intro video, completing our blog profile, and writing blogs. Then on the actual day of squad wars at camp we all performed a squad dance & played a few other fun games! Although X Squad lost every game that day, we still managed to be squad wars champs! & Caden got baptized!
G O I N G H O M E
The day we got out of camp, a group of us went to Waffle House for some yummy food! Then Anna, Emi, and I stayed at Anna’s aunt’s house that night & the next morning we set out on our 12 hour drive back to Texas.
These 11 days (that at times felt like 11 years HA) were truthfully some of the most beautiful & life changing days that X Squad & I went through! I hope you all enjoyed this little glimpse into World Race Training Camp!
