i’ve been longing for a place i didn’t know actually existed
a place i didn’t even realize you could call a “place”
because it isn’t just one location
it isn’t just one home
it isn’t just one room
it’s a place filled with emotion, a place filled with surprise
this place is ever moving, ever changing, yet ever the same
what an upside down idea
that such a place could ever exist
have you ever experienced that before?
the realization that where you were meant to be was not one location
but your place was actually fluid
and it moved around as your physical self does
my place in this season? where He has called me to.
today it’s inside of a cafe, typing these words, listening to giggles of squadmates outside the door
tomorrow it’s sunday service, right next door
and next week it’s a completely different town
one an entire bus ride away from here
but I’ve never felt more at home
I’ve never felt more “meant to be” in one place
and maybe that’s because I’ve finally figured it out
I think I’ve finally learned my heart’s home
my home is all over
and that place sometimes doesn’t make sense
because it’s an upside down kingdom
and while I may be told that I should just stay
and plant my feet where roots can grow
I’m just peering into the surface
of a place I didn’t know actually existed
