For the last week, we have been in Lima, Peru. We have been spending time as a squad walking out what the Lord has sent us here to do..love the community and love one another.

I have learned what it means to be filled and to pour out into others in a consistent matter to the point where I do not overflow and restrict others from feeling what the Lord gives me..while all at the same time honoring who I am and learning what it means to take care of myself.

Balance..there’s the word.

I am learning balance… and what it means to be imbalanced..and how to come back from imbalance.

I have a vision of a life of growth in a way that embodies simplicity in my physical, spiritual, and soul health.

I have values of faith, friendship, health, service, and freedom.

I yearn for my times in the morning solely with God, listening to music as I worship Him, enjoying the sense of peace I am brought to. I enjoy learning the word, as I am currently studying Exodus and the student inside of me is coming back to life as I delve into not only the words that the Bible speaks, but the history and culture behind it as well.

I yearn for moments around the table with my team, as well as with other friends on my squad..getting to know where they see Jesus in their lives and the lives of others.

I yearn for times like yesterday afternoon..where I spent an hour playing soccer/keepaway with 3 young men and a few squamates at the park..embracing the active side of myself that the Lord gave me while partaking in fellowship with others.

I yearn for moments where I have the opportunity to cook with my teammates..or to wash a dish for them.. or to allow them to take my laundry to the laundromat for me.

I yearn for the happiness, independence, and authenticity I get to experience as I focus on freedom IN Christ and specifically who the Lord has made me to be.

I look forward to Friday.. we are heading to Iquitos, Peru! We are following the Lord’s calling to send us to the AMAZON! I have dreams of conversations with people about culture and about how the Holy Spirit is inside of them already, and how they can embrace it. I look forward to teaching my team what the Lord speaks to me every day and what I’m learning in my Bible.

I look forward to sharing with all of you the INCREDIBLY insanely cool ways that God moves over the next 2 weeks because let me tell you.. I have a fire in my soul from this last week that I am ready to spread!

Love y’all!
