Dance in Grace
Stand on Holy Ground
Run on Mission..Run on Mission.. that’s exactly what I’m doing.
My Dad bought my kindle right before launch, and one of the first books I downloaded was Dance Stand Run by Jess Connolly. A book that started as a light hearted read by a Christian woman soon turned into an entire story from Christ about who I am becoming and where I have been. Jess beautifully shares vulnerable stories about lacking grace, stepping outside of your “holy circle” and how you really should not run naked.
The very last chapter of this inspiring book encapsulates what running on mission should not only look, but what it should feel like deep in your soul. This year I chose the word “bold” to describe the actions I wanted to take as a 25 year old woman coming to know Christ. In the last few pages of the book, Jess discusses the topic of “bold humility” aka the capability to “have confidence in Christ to allow people to ask you to do the hard things, sit in the tension when you don’t have the answers, and invite the maturing process that will inevitably come”.
Whoa. Thanks Jesus…and Jess.
Because this morning we read 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 and the Lord highlighted the phrase “rest on me” and would not let me focus on any other phrases. There are times I find myself wanting to push through a difficult phase of life, or I sit in my own head when I don’t have answers and I blame myself for not being correct or all knowing. So I think it’s safe to say that both Jesus and Jess are trying to get to this girl’s heart… and teach me how to be a woman of bold humility.
We are nearing the end of month 1, our first month on the race, and I have learned more about Christ’s love, compassion, and how interconnected we really are over the last month than I have my entire 25 AND A HALF years.
I am currently at $10,376.00 fundraised out of $18,600 , and am looking for more support!
Thank you all for the love, messages, encouragement, and joy.
Love y’all!
Cole
