This past week, 6 other girls including myself , had a little ministry change for the weekend. We helped out at Renew Me: a women’s retreat for missionaries in swaziland!
The retreat was Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday. i got the privilege of leading worship the whole weekend with 3 other girls. for the rest of the girls who are gifted artists, they hand painted journals for the women and took photos and videos. whenever i wasn’t singing, all of us served the women by doing dishes and cooking meals. it was all so sweet and intimate.
Around 15 women came to Mabuda Farms, which is the beautiful farm we had the retreat. This farm is around 2 hours away from the compound our whole squad stays at in Swaziland. I was very surprised as to what the Lord had planned. I felt like He’s asked me to write songs, and it all began the weekend of the retreat.
I have been learning so much from the life of David, and he wrote most of the book of Psalms, which are the best songs ever written! The Lord is teaching more about myself through this process of songwriting; it’s all so new and uncomfortable honestly. I’m so excited!!!
Prayer request: Pray for the growth the Lord is doing in my team and I in this season. Growth isn’t usually easy, but it’s good.
