This month, we have had the opportunity to partner with the sweetest family in all of Antofagasta. They have truly been a blessing to me and my team. We were their first World Race team and they welcomed us in like we were their own daughters.

God gave me Mom and Dad this month. He gave me parents who are loyal to each other, to Jesus and their family. He gave me a mom who won’t take no for an answer (especially when she wants to give you aloe for sunburn when you forgot to take sunscreen to the beach). He gave me a dad who is patient and willing to do anything for you. So God gave me Rodrigo and Ruty.

The Lord knew I needed a brother this month. He knew I needed a creative, caring friend who is great at making sure I’m okay. So God gave me Toli.
God knew I needed a brother who would also be a friend this month. He gave me an English-speaking, soccer loving friend. He gave me a smart, caring, funny friend. God gave me a friend who cares deeply about those around him. So God gave me Nico.

He knew I needed these two guys in my life who love me like I am a sister to them. I was given two brothers who love others well. He put examples of godly men in my life and reminded me that age isn’t a factor in maturity and relationship with God. So God gave me Nico and Toly.

God knew I needed an inquisitive, sassy younger sister this month. He knew I needed a younger sister that I never had. God gave me a little sister with an eagerness to learn, which in turn gave me an eagerness to do the same. So God gave me Josefa.

The Lord knew I needed family this month. He knew I needed a whole bunch of people that would love me the way I am and would challenge me to grow. He knew I needed a family that would go out for ice cream a few times a week just to go on an adventure – and then stay out way too late walking around Antofagasta.
God gave me Daniella, Manu, Joaquin, Andres, Sebastian, Hugo, Belén, Danny, and Wendy.
He gave me family at the exact point when I just wanted to go home. Talk about perfect timing.
