We are now a week into Month 9 in Chile, and it’s time for a few highlights from our time in Mendoza, Argentina!
- We slept, cooked and everything else in the church we were working with.
- I rode in a hot air balloon!
- We did door-to-door ministry on a regular basis, where we invited people to church.
- Mendoza is one of the cutest little towns I’ve ever been in!
- The entire team shared our testimonies during church throughout the month.
- We walked two and a half miles in one direction to get to Starbucks pretty regularly.
- Some of the people we met in door-to-door ministry started coming to the church!
- I went on a horseback riding wine tour through the mountains and saw two volcanos!
- We did children’s outreach programs every Saturday.
- The weather in Mendoza was the coldest we’ve had the entire Race.
- We went to the hot springs!
- Our host family was the sweetest and that was one of the harder goodbyes on the Race.
- The team played cards all the time.
- DJ and I prayed for and talked to a homeless woman on our way to Starbucks one day (ministry is possible even when it isn’t scheduled ministry time).
- I started learning sign language.
- We had cockroaches climbing out of the floor of the church on one of the last nights – it was quite an adventure!
- The church wanted me to stay in Mendoza because they loved my testimony so much.
- The mountains around the city were beautiful.
- We got a ton of rest throughout the month.
Stay tuned for more coming soon!
