It’s been awhile –  your girl is trying to figure out what to talk about (because ATL has been an adventure). Another blog coming around this time tomorrow. So I’m trying to figure out where to start. Because my brain is trying to figure out the stories, we are going to start with some highlights from Month 4 in Thailand!

  1. It was All-Squad Month, so we spent 3 of our 4 weeks in Thailand with our entire Squad (37 people) at one hostel. There were lots of people, and it was lots of fun! I stayed up way too late a lot of nights because I was sleeping in a room with 20ish other people.
  2. It was also ATL, which has never been paired with All-Squad before. What is ATL you ask? It stands for Ask The Lord, so we spent each day asking God what He had for us. Some days, that looked like going to a coffee shop; other days, that looked like feeding the homeless that we walked past every day. Sometimes we did prayer walks. Wanna know more about this? Check out my Insta and Facebook to learn more.
  3. We regularly ate at a restaurant called The Family. We got to know the owners, Robert and Chrismass because we frequented the restaurant so often. It was located within a minute or two of our hostel. Robert is originally from California, so it was cool to get to know someone from the States and have a person that we could ask questions of, even though we didn’t have a host. (Cool story about Robert, Chrismass and The Family hopefully coming soon.)
  4. We had air conditioning where we were staying for the month! And consistent wifi!
  5. Hillsong UNITED released a new CD, People. It’s real good – I highly recommend Highlands and Clean! Plus the four singles from the CD that they released in January and February.
  6. My fitness hike from Training Camp came in handy because we had to carry all of our stuff from our hostel to the bus station so that we could go to Khao Sok.
  7. Speaking of Khao Sok, we spent 24 hours in a national park in Thailand. It was so refreshing to go to the mountains and spend some time outside of the city.
  8. Also in Khao Sok, I got to see the elephants! They were so pretty and we were in the middle of the forest and it was so cool!
  9. I ate a bunch of street food (had to work on getting over my Food Safety Certification – still trying to figure out what it looks like to have this and be in places where cooking is done very differently than it is Stateside). There was this vendor that had a stick of dumplings for 5 baht which is the equivalent of 15 cents in USD. (Now that we’re in Malaysia, I have been getting my meals from the store and I can spend $1 or $2 on my food for the entire day.)
