Here is the “Molly Version” of Psalm 23:

Jesus is my protective and good shepherd. With Him guiding me, I need nothing else.

Holy Spirit leads me to a place of rest and makes it impossible for me to not sit and be still with Him. He leads me to a place of refreshment.

In this quiet place, He restores my soul. He brings life to my dry bones. For my praise of His name, Jesus will take me safely on paths He has laid out for me.

Even though some of these valleys look terrifying and full of trickery, I will not fear man or hell because my strong and perfect Jesus brought me here. He will correct and guide my steps. I will feel His presence with me so I love this correction. It is for my safety.

God will sit me down in the darkest valley and lay out a feast before me. A feast of His promises of goodness, forgiveness and grace.

Jesus will always be good to me as He leads me to the Father.

Holy Spirit, etch these truths on my heart. Carve them deep.

You have led me here, Holy Spirit. I have fallen but you help me back up to continue my race. I laugh at the days to come because I understand now.

It is the journey with you. From the highest peak to the lowest valley, I know full well who I walk with. And this is what I am thankful for.

Now someone eat some pumpkin pie for me 🙂
