“So what exactly are you doing next year?”

I get this question pretty much every day. We have been asked to have a heart that says, “yes”. I may not know what my ministry will look like next year, but that’s okay! God has a plan.

Here is what I do know:

Who: I am on a “squad” of 14 people which is divided up into 3 teams. I am with 5 other people on my team. Shoutout to Aaron, Brandon, Jenny, Parker, and Meg!

What: Adventures in Missions: World Race is a nonprofit organization that sends out teams to share the love of Jesus Christ and serve others around the world. I will be on the expedition route this next year. This route typically heads to newer countries that haven’t been visited by the World Race.

When: I will be headed to 11 countries for 11 months starting January 7th– December 1stof 2019.

Where: We will be in the 10/40 window. This is the most unreached region of the world. “Unreached” is term in Christianity meaning that a people group does not have enough believers or resources to evangelize to their own people. The countries we are planning to go to are Japan, Taiwan, China, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia, Lebanon, Jordan, and Turkey. The Middle Eastern countries can change depending on the climate in that region.

Why: If I’m being honest, I find moments during the day when I can’t believe that I’ve been chosen to travel across Asia and the Middle East to build relationships with people so that my team and I can tell them about Jesus Christ. The Lord calls us to share His story with people wherever we are. My team and I have the incredible calling of a year in Asia and the Middle East! Join us in praying for the people we will be meeting next year.

“So… what exactly are you doing next year?”

Even I’m asking myself this question after writing this blog.

I guess we’ll find out. 🙂
