Malaysia has a ridiculously competitive economy, one of the most competitive in the world! It has the tallest twin towers in the world, and has a continuously growing infrastructure. Unfortunately, a large part of Malaysia has never heard the name of Jesus, with up to 80% claiming a religion apart from Christianity. Malaysia is full of imigrants from surrounding nations such as India, Thailand, and China, which provide huge influence to their culture. My team and I will be working with local ministries to spread the love of Christ to people in unconventional ways and to build relationships with those who are searching for something different in their lives. I am so excited to visit this bustling country and experience the cultures of so many different areas of Asia all within one location.
