In my last blog was a recap of what I experienced in Rwanda in month 6. There, the team and I got the opportunity to shovel dirt, preach, help lay the foundation for the church, do an African safari, and share the love of Christ with children with stories, songs, and games. In this blog titled Unbelievable Uganda. Here in Uganda, there were a lot of things that had happened. Upon arrival, the team and I were split into 3 groups Manual Labor, Physical Education, and Community. I got the opportunity to be with the Physical Education group. The team and I were told that we were going to be P.E teachers over the 250 students at the Lightforce Nursery/Primary Schools. I will share all of the pictures and videos so you can see what it was like as a P.E teacher. I also was able to do a School Picture day at primary school. I got the opportunity to take portraits of all of the children and the students. I will share about the School Picture day below.

MEET HEAD TEACHER BOB

I LOVE P.E

The children at both the Nursery school and Primary loved P.E. Below is what it looked like at both places. Here are a few videos and photos to help show you what it was like.

SCHOOL PICTURE DAY

On this day, I asked headteacher Bob if I could use my talents as a photographer. I told him that I noticed that the students didn’t have any portraits of themselves. It has been one of my dreams to take pictures of kids around the world. It’s something magical about it. They all come alive especially when you show them what they look like from the camera. I know that it was a gift I was able to give to the School and it was something the Lord put on my heart to do. In every country we go to we have set ministry, but this wasn’t set. This was obviously led by the Lord. Below are a few of the portraits shared and the group photos by class from Lightforce Primary School.

This month it was exhausting but such a reward to be able to invest in these children. God allowed us to love and teach these children how to respect, love one another, work hard, and listen/follow directions. They all miss us very much and I know that we made an impact on all 250 children. God is good and he was most definitely glorified. In my next blog I will move on and cover this past month here in Kenya! After that we will be all caught up in real time with me in Ethiopia! There will be a surprise in Ethiopia so stay tuned. If you feel led to donate, I am struggling with personal expenses. If you would like to, you can donate to my paypal here. Thank you so much!
