Hello! Yes. It is me the procrastinator and the perfectionist. I am sorry it has been a long time that I haven’t updated you on my journey. I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers, encouragement, and love despite not knowing exactly where I am or what I am doing. I am going to change that. I will catch you up to my journey in the next week and a half. I hope you are ready because it is going to be a wild ride. Here is the recap of month 5 in MAY. First I want you to know that we were spread out amongst different ministries in this month.
HIKE HIKE HIKE
This month we have hiked like no other. Our first weekend here our host says that every team that he hosts has done this “intro hike”. One evening we head out to trek the highest point overlooking Kathmandu. We all wrote on on small stones to place the name of God do you want to claim over the city. The next hike we went to Nagarkot for a sunrise hike to see the 8 Himalayan ranges of Nepal. We all loved how much we got the chance to hike. It was tough but well worth seeing God’s creation while encouraging one another. Look at the Lord’s beautiful creation.

CHILDREN IN THE SLUM
Below is what we taught the children in the morning and in the slums.
- Basic Math
- English Songs
- Alphabet
- Read
- Write
- Coloring
- Hygiene
- Bible stories
Here are pictures below of what it looked like teaching alongside my amazing teammates Emilie and Ben. The kids here don’t have much. We were told that most of the have ADHD and they struggle with abusing each other from what is displayed in the homes. Some of the children came from India where my team was last month. Some of them spoke Telugu which the language spoke in South India. It was said that they were refugees who fled from India to come to Nepal for new opportunities. It was pretty common shocking to know that they came all of this way to start over in the slums of Kathmandu. We got to share Jesus to all of these children by teaching them stories from the bible. Above is a picture after class one day when we taught them the story of creation.

CABIN RESTRAUANTS
We went to share the gospel in the dance bars.
What I learned when going to the cabin restaurants.
- Women run the brothels at the top. Not men.
- Here in Nepal and India, when a daughter is born, people mourn because the money goes out of the House.
- Parents across Nepal have no problem the daughter sells her body to get the money back.
We couldn’t take pictures and it broke my heart to hear how these young girls get tricked into this industry and how tough it is to get away from it. These girls were from 14-23 years of age. We shared the love of Christ with them and encouraged them in their situations. We then got a signal that it was time to go and we had to pay and leave. This ministry goes to share the gospel and help rescue the women from these places where they are being sex trafficked.
