We are in month 8 and we are in Kenya!?!? It was a crazy first two weeks so here’s a quick update on all the neat things we’ve got to experience here so far!
- We are working with YWAM this month and get to stay at their compound! This included FINALLY breaking out the tent to sleep in it
- There are literally giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelope, and ostriches in our backyard! photo creds to Anna
- Our first week here, there was a medical missions team here from Oklahoma. We got to serve with them and watch lives change as over 2,000 eye glasses were given out! Even though we only worked with them for a few days, it was great to make new friends and serve Jesus together.
- We are currently in North Kenya working with Kindfund-an orphanage whose goal is to rescue orphaned, abandoned children and newborn babies vulnerable to death due to the culture of the two tribes that reside in the county.
- We’ve busted out all our kids ministry experience this week in hosting a VBS at kindfund. This include LOTS of games, songs, teachings on fruits of the spirit
