I’d say who’s counting, but clearly I am!! I am officially 30 days away from heading back to Georgia to leave for the World Race!!! There are so many things that I want to share with you.
— First off, I am blown away by all the amazing things that have happened in the 5 weeks since Training Camp. I have had so many more open conversations with different people about the race. I have encountered God in so many unique ways as I have been trying to get spiritually and emotionally prepared for the race. I have also been blown away by the support from my family and friends! Leaving camp, I began believing that God would bring people to partner with me for November, and that I would have an extra $2,000 towards my race by the end of the month. Of course, God superseded my own amount, as a great reminder that this whole fundraising is all about God showing how He provides!
— Secondly, I wanted to give a financial update for where I am currently at for the race. I have $8,000 raised!! Again, so grateful and blessed to have such amazing people in my life! To meet my next deadline by December 21st, I need $2,000 more. My next deadline after that is for $13,000 raised on February 28th. The last is to be fully funded ($18,200) by April 30th. Being accepted for the race in April, many people would ask me if I was nervous to raise that much of an amount (not including other preparation expenses). If this process has taught me anything, is that God is faithful. He is our provider for all things, and it wasn’t until I fully surrendered this amount over to Him, that the blessings really began.
—Next, I can still use your help! There are a few things that I am doing right now that you can either attend, donate, or purchase over these next few weeks. On December 14th I am hosting a Winter Festival! There will be a dance party, games, kids crafts, a 50/50 raffle, and more! I am hoping that this will be a fun event to not only get me to my $10,000 goal, but also a chance to see many of my friends and family members before I leave. I am also still doing the Adopt-A-Box, and there are still plenty of boxes to be claimed! Lastly, I am still selling Threads of Hope bracelets until I leave. These bracelets not only help me, but also help women in the Philippines maintain jobs!
— Lastly, I am a super sentimental person! I love hand written notes, letters, cards, and photos. As excited I am for this next year ahead, I am already feeling the weight of having to say my goodbyes and see you laters. So that is why I want to take some of these things on the race with me too. I would love to receive these from my family and friends before I leave. If you’d like to send me something, please send it to arrive before January 1st. My address is 23 Chestnut Street Downingtown, PA 19335.
I couldn’t do this next year without the incredible support and overwhelming love from all the people who are near and dear to my heart. I am so blessed by my circle of people! Thank you for your commitment of love, prayers, financial blessings, and more over this next year. I can’t wait to begin sharing stories, pictures, and testimonies of God moving in each country.
