Something really valuable I have been able to take away from Training Camp this week is that God is in everything, big or small. One speaker shared with us a list she had made for just a day of where she saw God in the moments. She then had us take a few minutes to write down where throughout that particular day we saw God in the little and large moments. Though it might have seemed like a small teaching, it reminded me just how quickly I overlook the moments of goodness that is all around me. So I want to share with you just some of my God moments from Training Camp.

I saw God in…

  • The welcoming smiles and hugs from our Squad leaders as we arrived to the first day of training camp
  • Through the simple peace that rested in my soul while meeting all my new squad
  • The worship leaders who gave all the praise that they had on the stage, and were so willing to let the Spirit move
  • The crisp 7:00am morning sunrises
  • My squad leader, Lynna’s eyes when she allowed me to freely share my story with her
  • The sweet embrace from my squad leader, Brittany, who then painted an image of dancing with God that I’ll never forget
  • When Kristen, Carly, and others from my Squad ran alongside me to help me finish the hike
  • The friends who were willing to share DayQuil and Emergen-C after getting sick night two of TC
  • The quick forming bonds and friendships made
  • The crazy dance parties that always happened before sessions
  • My friend, Carly buying me a Dr. Pepper on India day
  • When within 40 seconds, our squad came together with $365 to help support a squad member to get an Epipen
  • The willingness to share when “half our luggage is stolen” and many of the team didn’t have warm clothes for the night
  • The openness to share our stories during team time
  • The generosity of Sarah, Andrew, and their parents for letting us spend a few nights at their houses in Nashville
  • The conversations we got to have with people while doing street evangelism in a neighborhood
  • Nick, our squad leader driving us to Starbucks on team night ๐Ÿ™‚
  • Playing sand volleyball on ladies day with girls from other squads
  • All the wonderful teachings and lessons where God was able to bring so many breakthroughs, challenges, healing, and teachings
  • Giving us such a empowering leadership team that are all so unique and passionate for Jesus
  • The hot chocolate, candy, and pretend campfire that we got to have on ladies night!
  • The countless jokes, laughs, and songs made up while washing dishes
  • Through the quiet moments of our Sabbath day, where we could just rest in His presence
  • The wonderful men of our team who humbly served the ladies during our squad time around the campfire
  • The sweet reminder from God that every person matters to God. That I should interact with each person as someone I want to see in Heaven someday
  • My beautifully crafted and hand-chosen by God squad where community and unity is already forming

Honestly, there are many, many more things that I could write down about those 10 days alone! God is so ever present in our daily lives if we take the time to see it! I have begun a challenge for myself to write down every night before bed, the moments I saw God in. I can’t even begin to tell you the difference it has made! What seemed like an ordinary day, turns into an extraordinary day full of gratitude. I would encourage you to try it for yourself, even if it’s for one night or for one week ๐Ÿ™‚

Training Camp made me only that much more excited for launch in January! I can’t wait to be back with my squad to begin the World Race journey together. As many of you know, I have been fundraising support to financially support my race. I still need close to $8,000 to be able to launch. If you feel led to give, please click the Donate tab on my page. Any amount truly helps! Also, you can subscribe for updates to stay up to date with my blog ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you so much for all the love, support, and prayers that have been continuously sent my way. It means more than you know!

Much Love,

McKenzie
