“I am going to marry my 2nd wife! I want four.” — My new friend Mohammad
I just walked out of a small empty room. It was empty in decorations and furniture but it was also empty in spirit and truth.
I met a man named Mohammad the first week here in Mokhotlong. He walked by Malysa and me wearing a traditional Muslim dress.
He is the kindest man with the brightest smile. He has more reverence for the Lord than I have ever seen.
We talked there for a while and he left. A few days later we saw him again on his horse with two of our guy friends.
He walked us to his house so we could stop by a few times this month and talk about the differences of Islam and Christianity.
This morning we left at 10 am to go see Mohammad. It’s only a 10 minute walk but it took us 2 hours!
We came across a parade of students and told a few groups about the love of Jesus.
We prayed for a man who I believed to be demon possessed. While we prayed he fell into our arms and closed his eyes. After we prayed he walked away. I am fully believed he is healed.
We met a man on a horse who was encouraged by our love for Jesus. We got to pray over him and will be seeing him tomorrow.
We even saw some type of riot or celebration of a wedding… we aren’t sure still but there was tons of people and cars were speeding and swerving left and right on the road.
We were interruptible. Jesus used our two hour search for Mohammad for himself.
We finally got so lost we called Mohammad and he came and met us. It ends up we walked past his house 10 minutes into our journey— but obviously God had different plans.
My friend Ryan led most of the conversation today. I could tell you everything we talked about but we were there for almost 4 hours talking about the validity of the Bible, who the true Prophet was and so much more.
The thing I want to share is that love conquers all.
As we got up to leave Mohammad said, “oh I am sad you are leaving in two days, I must see you tomorrow. My heart is very sad to see you go.”
We sat and debated Christianity and Islam for 4 hours and the thing this man leaves us with is I will miss you.
Sharing with Mohammad wasn’t scary, it wasn’t hard and we have no regrets. So why don’t we do this in America? We believe this lie that we are going to offend, or it will seem like we are forcing Christianity on someone.
In reality, sharing the gospel is the most exhilarating, fun and loving thing you could do. So I encourage you all to share with someone today who may not know Jesus.
I will miss you as well Mohammad. I pray you find the truth and Holy Spirit will give you fresh revelation of the blood of Jesus.
