Well… this month is interesting to say the least. We live in an adorable small house that over looks the mountains!

I wake up around 5am to have time with Jesus before breakfast at 7am.

Then the day gets interesting… sometimes we are preachers at the hospital, praying over people around town, cooking for a soup kitchen and serving people with HIV and AIDS and sometimes we are evening gardeners and get very sunburned…

Also sometimes we are waiting around for someone to come get us. If Sotho people tell you to be ready by 9am, someone comes to meet you at 10:30 with different plans than they gave you.

I have learned I love preaching! I got to speak at the prison today about adoption into sonship from Ephesians 1! If you don’t know what I am talking about go readEphesians 1 right now.

5 inmates gave their life to Jesus in the prison! FIVE! That’s 5 new brothers we have.

We eat lunch around 1 and we have a wonderful woman named Sunny who makes all our meals! They are delicious and if we didn’t walk so much I would definitely gain weight this month.

Today after lunch we went to the hospital and went into the rooms and prayed for people. My friend Maria has a really critical infection in her foot. Her foot swelled to the size of a football. We prayed over her and as we were talking more I felt like I should ask straight up if she knew Jesus. She said she has never believed in him, but now she things God is punishing her. I got to squash that lie really quickly and explain to her all deadly pestilence is from the enemy and Psalm 91 actually says if we dwell in the Lord he will protect us from the enemy. Then I explained what it meant to give your life to Jesus and be a new creation and right there she gave her life to Jesus!

A NEW SISTER!

Then I went home and hand washed my laundry for an hour. It’s hanging outside right now as I write. In that hour I talked to my teammates about hard questions in the Bible. I rubbed my clothes in my fingers so much that my knuckles actually started to bleed… it’s a hard life here.

Then I filled up a very cold bucket of water and took it to the outhouse showers. It’s the coldest shower I have ever taken and we have to ration the water so I only get to wash my hair about every 4 days….

In the evening we have dinner at 6 and then team time at 7. Every day we are supposed to make intentional fun time with our team. Sometimes we asked each other fun questions, sometimes we just hang out and chat, sometimes we do yoga. And then I have my nightly routine (this is new but I am sticking with it.) I have learned the importance of ending your day with Jesus. So for an hour before bed I sit and reflect on my day. I write what I learned, a memory, and a way I have grown in my faith or a way I want to grow. Then I pray and read my bible or my book, Insanity of God (everyone should read it).

Also, our electricity just turned off. Just average third world things.

This is the average day but every day here is different. Lesotho needs your prayers! We are seeing incredible things happening here and my prayer for Lesotho is that there is passion and faith stirred up in this place for Jesus!

Also the electricity cane back on! Praise!

-Pray for healthy and able bodies and energy to serve the kingdom everyday.

-Pray for divine intervention in this town and that we could meet the non-believers.

-Pray for Mohammad. He is a brilliant man who follows Islam. He is kind and welcoming and loves to listen to our beliefs. Pray he will believe Jesus died on the cross and the blood of Jesus is how we have salvation.
