U N S U R E
Today was a day I have been anticipating since May. Will I cry when I tell my mom goodbye? Will I be a “good” missionary? Do I know enough scripture? Am I supposed to be here?
This photo about sums up all my emotions..
How many times does the enemy make you unsure of yourself?
When God is at work the devil gets nervous and his way to attack is often through lies. Our only defense is resting in the truth of God’s word.
2 Corinthians 12:9-11 says, “my grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.”
God isn’t looking for me to be perfect. What great freedom we can have knowing that our end goal isn’t to be perfect. God isn’t asking me to be the best missionary, have the most knowledge of scripture or stay strong while saying so many hard goodbyes. He is asking me to be available for him. He is asking us to say Y E S.
Walk in freedom knowing the lies you believe about yourself right now are not from God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 says, “do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?” If God is in us this means that we take on his character. This means that we are good enough… strong enough… beautiful enough… HOLY, RIGHTEOUS and REDEEMED. We are daughters and sons of the Creator of the universe!
Thank you Jesus for helping me believe and trust today that I am good enough, because you are in me.
