Hey guys, what’s up! It’s ya girl SJ, one of Madison’s teammates. I have the pleasure of writing a blog all about our favorite Oregonian, and I can’t wait for you guys to read it. I think if there’s anything we can all agree on, it’s that you can never read too much about how God has created awesome people to do awesome things. Anyway, without further ado, read on friends!

Madison Collin is an amazing woman of God who is kind, considerate, light-bringing, wise, thoughtful, joyful, calming, and SO MUCH MORE. I’ve had the opportunity to be her teammate for the past almost 5 months and have been able to see her grow in her identity as a daughter of the King and as a disciple of Jesus. I’d like to just tell y’all a couple stories/tidbits about her that showcase her awesomeness.

This month has been a bit of a difficult month for Team Hope, with a ministry we weren’t comfortable with and a community we needed to learn how to best serve. Madison has been such a leader and a guide in the ways of choosing joy and putting 100% into what we do everyday. This past week she’s become part of the cool kids’ club at the school, and she spins tops that look like this (below) with the rambunctious boys every day.

She has committed to learning the names of every man, woman, and child at our ministry. She makes everyone around her feel loved through small things like that all the time.

On a less serious but still cool note, I’ve been able to teach her some pretty dope dance moves while on the Race. Madison has been the best dance student, never afraid to try a new move and always asking questions about how to do it better. (No one tell her that I’m really not qualified to teach dance moves. I kind of suck.) One time she tried to do the Hit Dem Folks move and fell backwards in her chair at lunch time. Priceless.

Now. A photo section. I love this ramen eating, mirror selfie-ing, picture posing, turtle loving dork. Thanks for being a great teammate, Madison.
