time flies.
when i think that i am already on my second month of the world race, my mind is blown. however, when i think that i still have ten more countries to visit & that i won’t be home until may 2020, time seems to be taking its sweet time.
month two means i am in costa rica, specifically the city of jacó. my team (team vessel) and another (team deep waters) are paired up this month with the ministry Ocean’s Edge. i linked their website below if you are interested in reading more about them. in summary, they are striving to bring the light of Jesus to the lost city of jacó by partnering and supporting many different ministries. some of us are working with the local churches, some are helping in the prenatal center, others are helping with a surf club for youth, and still some are working with the city government to paint the town lampposts.
God definitely has his hand on this ministry. in 2003 no missionaries were in this town. some ministry hosts wouldn’t even send teams into the city because it was too far gone. the town is full of prostitution, drugs, psychedelic mediums, strip clubs, and people trying to find themselves in all the ways of the flesh. what better way to help people find themselves than by pointing their eyes towards the true light: Jesus.
we are starting to find our groove with the ministry and are looking forward to these next few weeks to really pour out on the city of jacó. below are two links. one, the website to Ocean’s Edge if you would like to read more about it. two, the video i made to summarize month one in nicaragua. i made it to remember the fun times and incredible people i met & thought some of you may enjoy getting to watch it too.
as always, thanks for reading & continuing to pray for me & my team. thankful for you all!
