When i think about the race, my heart overflows with joy. It feels like a beach day in the middle of winter, or sunshine after a thunderstorm. It is overwhelming joy, but it is joy nonetheless.
When I first sat down and thought about my future, I knew that Jesus was leading me somewhere other than the normal path of college. I prayed about it and i was fully listening to what He was telling me. I’ve known since i was little that i wanted to change the world, and i thought that the race may be my calling.
I applied, and my mother kept telling me not to get too excited about it because i had to be accepted for an interview. My first thought was– what is the plan Jesus has for me? Then, the more i thought about it, i realized that if this wasn’t His plan for me then i would not be accepted. A few days later and very happy, i was accepted for an interview. After my interview, i was nervous that it did not go as well as i had hoped, and the lady told me she would call me back in 5-7 days. That night, i prayed so hard for the race and my future. The next day, she called me and told me i was accepted. Jesus answers prayers.
Here i am now, on a mission to change the world and spread God’s love. I am beyond grateful for all of you that have subscribed to my blog and have wanted to be a part of my journey alongside me.
I am in awe of what the Lord is doing in my life, and i can’t wait to share more about my journey with you in the near future.
