Many people have reached out to me about my decision to go on the World Race. Everyone has shown support and given prayer but I feel like many have wanted to ask a question but haven’t That question is “WHY”. Why are you giving up a year of your life to go backpack and live in some very questionable places? Why are you leaving your family behind? Why are you giving up your job. Why are you okay with leaving the life you have for yourself? Why are you doing this? I feel like many want to ask the questions but are scared. The answer is not life changing it is very simple actually; if I do not go who will? Who will share the gospel, who will tell about our amazing God and his glory. Who will pray and testify to the people.
Most people would say “well there are already missionaries in the field you don’t have to go”. That is true there are other missionaries but they cannot do it alone. If this was the mentality we all had no one would know the glory of God. If we said “it’s okay the next person can go the spread the gospel” we would not reach the forsaken. Think of all the people who do not know how great our God is because of the simple fact that no one has told them. Think of all the people that could be saved. That thought alone is enough for me to leave everything behind and put him first.
Mark 16:15 And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
I have prayed about this journey, I have prayed that God guide me and his will be done. I believe this is where I am suppose to be and I will not question that. I am very scared and nervous to leave everything behind but I have faith that I will be taken care of.
