It’s been a minute since I’ve written a blog, so I thought I would update everyone on how fundraising has been going. While this journey has been so rewarding, it has also been very exhausting mentally as far this aspect goes. I realize that this mission trip is so SO much bigger than me. And if I for one second try and take control then I’m on the road to disaster. When the opportunity comes up to share about this mission trip the hardest part for me to talk about is the fundraising. It’s uncomfortable. It’s uncomfortable for me to ask for financial support. I don’t want people to think that’s the only reason I’m telling them about it. And i have had so many people tell me to not be afraid to ask others for help financially. Because the worst thing they could say is no. It’s a learning curve for sure as far as my relationship with God goes, trusting that he will provide and come through with every single cent, item, and more for this mission trip. But I’m also a human and those thoughts of doubt do come creeping in of “Do you really think this is what God wants?” “Why are you doing this?” “Why not him or her?” “Do you really think you can do this?” The answer to the last question is no I don’t think I can. But I can with God’s strength. I can with his guidance and my obedience.
Praise God for his faithfulness, he has already provided roughly $1,300!! I have another $3,700 to go for my first deadline in September!! Thank you to everyone who has supported me through prayer, encouragement, and giving!! It means more to me than you will ever know.
The easiest way to donate is to do so monthly or one time donation $20, $50, $100 etc. through my blog. (All donations that are processed through my blog are tax deductible)
There is a benefit dinner I’m planning in September through Buffalo Wild Wings (TC, MI Location). 15% of their food sales between 5pm-9pm will go to my account directly.
Every $20 that is donated your name is added to the back of a puzzle piece and thrown into a raffle for a chance to win $500. ($40 = 2 puzzle pieces)
I ask that you would prayerfully consider donating to my mission trip to further God’s word. To love the least of these. Please share with your friends and family. To stay updated hit the subscribe button, while I’m in the field I will continue to write!!
Luke 1:45 “And blessed is she who believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”
