Each month, my team and I get to be apart of a different ministry. We basically do whatever our host tells us to do. It’s so fun getting to a new ministry and being able to bless them by our skills and extra hands.

This month, we are partnering with Blessing The Children. We thought we would be working with children (hense the name), turns out we are actually painting! A lot!

So here is an overview of what a typical day looks like here in Ethiopia:

6:00am (sometimes 6:30am ;-)) – Wake up & have Jesus Time

7:45am – Walk to breakfast

8:00am – Breakfast (typically eggs & bread)

8:30am – Devotion

9:00am – Ministry begins – 4 people do a house visit, 4 people paint desks, 4 people people window frames

12:00pm – Lunch (typically spaghetti & bread)

12:30pm – 2:00pm – Free time! Usually resting or grabbing wifi

2:00pm – 4:00pm – Everyone painting desks

5:30pm – Dinner (typically pasta & egg along with… BREAD!) (Ethiopians love carbs)

Free for the day but MUST be back in our guest house by dark!

We end the day by hanging out with our team and the guys, laughing and worship!

Life here is simple.

And I love it.

Doesn’t seem real that we have spent a whole 4 months in Africa. And that it is over in less than a week when we head to Europe.

I’m thankful for the time spent here. I’m thankful for all that God has taught me these past four months. I wouldn’t of traded it for the world.
