Arriving to Rwanda, we were greeted at the airport by our ROCKIN host, Moises. What a freaking dude since day one.

Moises was driving his kiddos to school everyday when he always noticed the children on the street that don’t get an education, is just unfair. So he did something about it.

He built a school for those children in the community that can’t afford to go anywhere else. My team and I got to teach about 70 kids Monday-Friday in the mornings. There are 3 classrooms – baby room, middle room and top room. We split up, two by two, into each. Whitney and I took the middle room.

And I just love it.

This will be the HARDEST goodbye in just a few days.

So I wanna talk about just a few of the cuties.

Above is my sweet girl, Keilla. We found each other day one and have been obsessed with each other ever since. Always together, in the classroom and not. You can find us doing this, making faces at each other or laying down singing Jesus Loves Me. I will love you forever and ever. I hope I come back to you one day.

This sassy chick is Odilah. As you can see, full of sass and cuteness. She sits in the front row and either has a smile on her face or sticking her tongue out. Either way, she brings so much joy into my life. She gets jealous when you give someone else attention and don’t you dare pick up someone else, tears are released knowing full well you will come comfort her. She’s a stinker but man teaching wouldn’t of been the same without her.

Oh man. This is what every day after school looked like. Walking home with our kids on each hand and maybe one on the back, gaining a couple extra from a nearby school as well. The one in the middle is Olgar. Gosh. I’ve never met a child with so much joy of the Lord before. ALWAYS smiling and giggling. She loves giving kisses and being tickled.

The one on my other hand is Saphina. The chick is a hidden gem. She is so tiny and hides in the room but once it’s time to go home she is clinging to your side, desperate for you to hold her hand or carry her.

To be honest, this was one of my favorite parts of the day. Walking home chanting “I said a BOOM CHICKA BOOM!” every day.

There are SO many other kiddos I could go on and on and on about and one day I probably will, but for now just know that My God wooed my heart every. single. day. this month with these kids.

I won’t ever forget them.

I won’t ever be the same.
