So a little bit ago, I asked the social media world what was some questions they had about this thing called the World Race??? I was asked the big questions… but if you have anymore, feel free to reach out! 🙂

So let’s hop in…

How long is the World Race? And how long will you be there?

The World Race is 11 countries in 11 months, so I will be in one country for about a month.

What countries are you going to? In order!

Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, India, Nepal, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Romania, and Portugal! SO EXCITED!!!!

On a scale from 1-10, how excited are you? Nervous?

Excited: probably a 18!!!! (could be an understatement) Nervous: a 6, probably higher the closer I get to leaving!

What countries will be most dangerous?

Uhm, I mean each country has its flaws and can be dangerous. If you were to google search it, most likely Colombia (drugs or something idk??), Africa and India! The Lord will protect me 😉

How many people are you going with? Do you know any of them?

So my “squad”, as we call it, consists of about 40-50 of us (not sure exactly how many yet) and we will be traveling to each country together. Once we get to the country, we will split off into “teams” of around 5-8 ish and go and do ministry wherever we are assigned for that month. I believe I will be staying with said team for months at a time. I do not know any of my squadmates yet BUT SOON!!

So where are you going in October?

In 20 DAYS (October 14th) I will FINALLY meet my squad!!!!!! I will be traveling down to Gainesville, Georgia for Training Camp. This is a 10 day training to prepare us to go around the world! Not too sure what I will be doing while I am there…

What are you going to be doing in each country?

Each country looks different! My team and I could be doing anything from VBS, praying for the sick at the hospital, hard labor like building or painting, street evangelism (this is so nerve racking already), and so much more. I am ready for all…… i think!!

So like…. what are you going to eat???

This. This is a very good question. This what actually stopped me from going on the  race prior to this year. I am seriously SO picky. Sooo…. currently, I am trying to make myself like rice and pasta… so far, not too good. I am continuing to ask the Lord if He will change my taste buds to further my food horizon so I will find foods I enjoy wherever I am!

How much is this huge thing?

The total cost is… *cue drum roll* … $18,200. Yep! You read that right! This may seem like a lot, but to God this is not even a drop in the bucket. All of it will go towards travel (land, air and sea), housing (when not using my tent), food, medical insurance, and debriefing.

How did you know it was the right thing for you to do???!!

After LOTS of praying and seeking advice from those older and know me well, I just said “Okay God, Im in.” It wasn’t so much me “knowing it was the right thing” it is just a HUGE leap of faith. After I told God and applied to get in, it was like instant excitedness (if this is a word) and anticipation for what God is going to do to get me there and while I am there. I feel very assured this is what I am supposed to be doing!

Today I am now 30% funded!!! WOOHOO God is good y’all!! Still have about $4,500 is before my next deadline! If you feel led to give, seriously ANY amount I would be super overjoyed and excited to have you along in this journey with me!!

Thank you guys for all your prayers & support!

xo,

Kylie
