Ministry in Granada Nicaragua

Home visits- waking into homes within the community with a local church member and a translator praying and making relationships with them. This is my favorite ministry.

Last week my team went to a home no team had been to yet. A man that was supposed to be are last house asked us if we could pray for his friend. We all decided that it couldn’t hurt if we were a little late for lunch so we went. He was an older man probably in his late 70 or early 80’s. His name was carols and his wife was a believe and had been reading the Bible to him in hopes that he would come to know the Lord.

When we got there Carlos didn’t seem very excited to see us and some what hesitation when letting us in to his home. We all sat down and started talking to him about his life (Nicaragua’s are very open about struggles and just really every part of their life’s) he began to tell us that he was blind in one eye and hadn’t been able to see out of it for 9 years and his other eye was starting to loose all sight. My team asked if we could pray over his eye. He told us we could and so then We all placed are hands over his eyes and body. My teammates began praying over him while I prayed “Holy Spirit move”. Then I felt the Holy Spirit move! I felt him move through my whole body and through my hands to him. Im not sure what all Holy Spirit had me pray but when we were down Carlos was crying. We asked him if he could see better and he said he could! He didn’t say much because he was crying so much but then his wife came in the house and she began crying as well. It’s just really cool how the Lord works and how he can use us as vessels to bring kingdom!

Farming- sometimes gardening or construction. The ministry is in the process of building a new building for world races. Since are group is so big and we stay for so long they are building a building for future groups so they can have multiple groups at the ministry all at one time comfortably.

Prayer walking- waking around town praying over the people and the country and everything in between.

Picking up trash- we go out in the community and pick up trash on the road. in just one street we can fill 10 trash bags, sometimes even more. this Is a cool ministry opportuinity because most people really see the Lords love in this because its a bunch of Americans doing a Job most people would see as really low.
