This precious season is coming to a close and I’m just not ready. 9 months of traveling the world with 48 amazing individuals and in about two weeks I have to leave all of that behind and start something else. Its mind blowing really and I can hardly sit still when I think about it because of excitement and anxiousness for the future.
While I am getting so close to the end I have been trying to put my mind into a constant and direct picture of thankfulness. It is really easy to think forward to all that is coming and in anticipation of what God is going to do, and sometimes even forget all the good and amazing things of the last nine months.
So the idea to make a big wall covered in what we are thankful for came about. In our living room we have one wall that is a chalk board wall so we normally have art, bible verses and other things on it. One of my squad mates said we should create the whole board dedicated to being thankful so that we can look and reflect on all the good. So thats when it started a whole wall declaring all the good and simple gifts God has given all of us in the last nine months of serving him. It a testament to our faithful and good God. Seeing hard things up there is one of my favorites because it is a reminder that even when its hard our God, our Father is giving gifts of gold to his children. The board is covered in big shapes each shape dedicated to a country or your team and then from there people write in the shape something for that category. In about 6 hours the shapes were almost all full. Im just so thankful for a crazy nine months to reflect on and
