Oh my goodness
yep its real iv been in Ethiopia for 34 days and yep its absoluty amazing! As you guys already know I am working with an organization called HopEthiopia and its downright the coolest group of people that are just trying to help the world by bringing the power of prayer to life, giving hope to children, a home for widows, dressing the naked, feeding the hungry, and reforesting the beautiful country.
We pulled up to the compound… And this land which is acres and acres of golden fields surrounded by beautiful mountains up at 8,000 ft. was the most breath taking place Iv ever seen. right away I knew that something was special. I was taken back by the complete peace and serenity that covered the land. We stepped out of the van and were immediately rushed by a bunch of the cutest little faces. Hugs were given all around while we grabbed are packs and took a look inside of our knew home.
OH MY GOODNESS were the only words that could come out. Yep this was a testament of Gods goodness. I didn’t understand how people can deny the existence of our most glorious God when there are places like this that exist in this world. totally jaw dropping is how I would explain it. this place smells of dry grass and sweet wildflowers. there are little children who run around with the biggest smiles that show off their cute little teeth. The children here are without there families…there parents have died or left them.
yep wow! now these kids get education, they get food and a bed, and everyday they get taught about Jesus. how much better does it get?
the rest of that day we hung out with kids we played ball we colored we ran around, and we laughed so much. Then that night we walked out into the field and marveled at the most beautiful stars I have ever seen in my whole life. Jesus. he’s good. His goodness just covers this place and I get to experience it. God has blessed me so much by bringing me here and every morning I get to wake up in the goodness of the Lord, walk in it all day, and when its time to go to sleep after a long day of loving I get to rest in his overwhelming goodness. Here in Ethiopia I have gotten to experience the Fathers goodness on a whole new level.
